Overview

Weather Live is an app for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch developed by Koray Birand. Your privacy matters. This policy explains what data Weather Live handles — which is no personal data at all.

Data Collection

Weather Live does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. We never identify you or your device.

Local Data

The app stores the following on your device only:

Your saved stations — the Windguru stations you add, their names and any custom names you give them.
Preferences — units (°C/°F, knots/mph/km·h) and your featured station.

This is stored in standard system storage (UserDefaults / an App Group) so your widgets and Apple Watch can show the same stations. It never leaves your devices except via your own iCloud device backup, if you have one enabled.

Network Access

To show live conditions and forecasts, Weather Live requests weather data from public services:

Windguru — the app sends a station ID to retrieve that station's current readings and the searchable station directory.
Open-Meteo — the app sends a station's published coordinates to retrieve the forecast for that location.

These requests contain only the station identifiers and coordinates needed to fetch weather. No personal information about you is included. Weather Live does not request or use your device's location.

Third-Party Services

Weather data is provided by Windguru (windguru.cz) and Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com). Their use is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Weather Live integrates no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

Children's Privacy

Weather Live does not collect data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the changes will be posted on this page with a revised date.
